Marie Alexander is a multi-disciplinary visual artist working across painting, drawing, and digital media. Her work blends atmospheric minimalism, architectural influence, and refined feminine presence to create modern visual environments shaped by light, form, and emotion.

Her imagery moves fluidly between sculptural silhouettes, serene interiors, warm desert horizons, and subtle dream-realms — resulting in pieces that feel calm, immersive, and quietly powerful. With a painter’s sensitivity to light and a designer’s eye for structure, Marie crafts visual worlds where atmosphere becomes the experience.

A U.S. Air Force veteran with a Master’s in Education, Marie brings discipline, clarity, and a refined sense of focus to her artistic practice.

Artist Statement

My work explores how atmosphere shapes emotion, presence, and the way we move through space.

I build images where light becomes architecture, shadow defines mood, and figures or interiors transform into serene, modern environments. Warm palettes, clean geometry, and subtle surreal elements guide each composition — creating visuals designed to be felt before they are fully seen.

I gravitate toward the threshold between the real and the imagined: sculptural interiors, warm desert minimalism, soft dream-spaces, and quiet feminine silhouettes. These realms share a common intention — to offer calm, clarity, and an elevated sense of presence.

My aim is not to illustrate stories, but to create atmospheres:

visual worlds that refine the spaces they enter and invite the viewer into a moment of ease.

This is the heart of my work —

art as experience, art as atmosphere.
